18 -25 March: Flower and photo exhibition in the
European Information centre - Sofia.
We scanned and laminated all photos received by our
friends and partners /size A4/ and arranged them on all exhibition
boards in the EUICentre. Above every picture we put a specially made
national flag of the partner's country. On two separate boards
we displayed informative texts about Spring Day, the partner
schools and their countries.
22 March: Spring Day show /concert, recital and quiz about
Europe/ in the kindergarten. Actors - our children; Audience -
parents, teachers and other special guests.
Spring came to the kindergarten to see how the
23 March: Spring Day Togetherness
An outside happening involving all children and
teachers. The audience were all passers by. Children sang songs,
waving Eurpoean flags. They addressed people with greetings in
9 languages, planted their hand made flowers in the gound and
carried some of them on their heads.
Then the children shook their hand drawn bells
/made out of a plant resembling a pumpkin, but not quite
the same/. They are completely dry with their seeds inside and when
shaken make a rattling noize. So, those were our peace bells, and
they were charming!
I have to add that the weather was wonderful
for more than a week and the children really believed Spring has
come to Europe and in our homeland -
